Corporate Social Responsibility
We are committed to reducing our impact on the environment, championing inclusion and diversity, and strengthening the communities in which we operate, work, source, and sell. We require all parts of Cimpress to conduct business in a manner that continues to make team members proud of our collective actions.
Protecting the Environment
Carbon Reduction
We are accelerating our long-standing decarbonization efforts across our direct operations and supply chain, aligned with our commitment to achieve net zero emissions by FY2040 across our entire value chain (Scopes 1-3) and to achieve a 53% reduction in emissions by FY2030 (compared to FY2019 baseline).
Responsibly Sourced Paper
We use Forest Stewardship Council (FSC®) and the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC)-certified materials for the vast majority of our wood-fibre products and we have plans to increase that even more. These certifications ensure that the wood used in our products is sourced in an environmentally sound, socially beneficial, and economically prosperous way.
Plastics Transition
We are working to eliminate PVC and polystyrene in our packaging and products, and to transition non-reusable packaging to recyclable and/or compostable materials. We are also decreasing fossil-fuel based plastic content in our packaging through a combination of plastic elimination and increased recycled content.
Caring for Team Members
Safety
We do not tolerate unsafe conditions and take every reasonable precaution for the protection of our team members and visitors.
Fair Labor Practices
We make recruiting, retention, and other performance management decisions based solely on merit and other organizational needs and considerations, such as an individual’s ability to do their job with excellence and in alignment with the company’s strategic and operational objectives. We do not tolerate discrimination on any basis protected by human rights laws or anti-discrimination regulations, and we strive to do more in this regard than the law requires.
Ensuring an Ethical Supply Chain
Our Code of Business Conduct and Supplier Code of Conduct lay out our expectations regarding human rights, environmental standards, and safe working conditions. Please refer to the social responsibility reports webpage for links to relevant documents such as our Supplier Code of Conduct and UK Modern Slavery Act disclosure.
Diversity and Inclusion
We believe in the power of intellectual, cultural, and experiential diversity in service of building a meritocracy in which we recruit and promote based on performance and hard work. Every day Cimpress team members with diverse backgrounds and perspectives work closely together toward business goals and, in doing so, develop a mutual respect and shared sense of purpose. Our businesses are expected to maintain a working environment where every team member is treated with respect, dignity, and merit-based fairness, regardless of nationality, race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, political views, family status, age, or (unless required for a given role) physical ability. This diversity includes being global in our culture and our operations.
We support internal groups like Women at Work, Mental Health Alliance, Military Veterans and Families, and PRIDE.
Supporting our Local Communities
We encourage team members to participate in meaningful opportunities that strengthen local communities such as charity contributions, fundraisers, and donations of supplies.
With much of our customer base made up of small and medium businesses, we are committed to helping create equitable economic opportunity. From grants and sponsorships, to free design and marketing assistance, to the creation of specialty products and marketplaces, we are leveraging our services, platforms, and partnerships to empower women, people of color, and LGBTQ+ entrepreneurs.
